Pilates Can Help You Move Better

Pilates builds strength and flexibiity.

Pilates helps to develop strength while simultaneously building flexibility. Clients leave workouts feeling relaxed and more limber.  Improved strength and flexibility are the foundation of enhanced athletic performance.

Pilates helps with injury prevention and recovery.

Over time, Pilates helps increase flexibility and range of motion--two key components of injury prevention. Pilates is great prehab but also impactful rehab, helping clients bounce back more quickly after injuries.  When muscles are both strong and supple, the chance of injury is minimized.

Pilates improves balance and body control.

Pilates focuses on strengthening the core muscles, which are essential for good balance and coordination.  Pilates helps you both better control your body and move more freely and efficiently.

Pilates Can Help You Feel Better

A strong core is a great antidote to low back pain.  Core work is central to all Pilates exercises, no matter if on the mat, the reformer, or other apparatus.

Low Back Pain?

Short and tight muscles are often the result of too much sitting.  Other times, muscles can be tight due to athletic training.  Regardless, short and tight muscles are susceptible to injury.  Pilates will both lengthen and strengthen your muscles.
